Established in​ 2003

Larry Dave established his practice, Larry Dave Attorneys, in 2003 and he quickly became known as one of the best labour lawyers in Johannesburg. Larry Dave's practice grew exponentially over the years. Larry's best form of advertisement has always been word of mouth owing to his professional service and outstanding outcomes achieved for his clients.

In 2010, Rene Kyriakou established Rene Kyriakou Attorneys. This practice operated out of Rosebank and Hurlingham for just short of 8 years successfully catering to various well known corporate clients' commercial, litigious and conveyancing needs. Rene has been involved in large scale acquisitions and transactions and in various types of litigation throughout her years of practice.

Rene and Larry always worked quite closely often referring clients between each other. Rene and Larry have the same ethos in running their practices and in 2017, Rene Kyriakou Attorneys and Larry Dave Attorneys merged together to form, LDA Incorporated.

LDA Incorporated offers a variety of highly skilled attorneys who can assist with all your labour, commercial, litigation and conveyancing needs. We can also assist with debt collections, evictions (commercial and residential), insolvency, family and deceased estate matters.

We are well known for our expertise in these areas and our footprint and reputation built up over 17 years attests to this. We hold the means to take any opponent head on and do not shy away from any challenge. We pride ourselves on our proficiency and integrity.

The Team

Larry Dave
Director

Larry Dave is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa with 24 years experience and is registered with the Legal Council. Larry is a member of the South African Society of Labour Lawyers and a member of the International Society for Labour and Social Security Law. Larry advises various Corporate entities and listed Companies on employment law and related issues.
Larry has been appointed as an acting Judge in the Labour Court.
Larry has appeared as a speaker on SABC 3 Rights and Recourse in respect of labour issues and Business Day TV and on Radio 702 with Eusebius Mckaiser. Larry has been involved in various high profile cases before the Labour Court, Labour Appeal Court and Constitutional Court and has countless reported decisions published in the South African Industrial Law Journals.
​Larry was announced as the winner of Employment Law Expert 2022 in South Africa by Global Awards: Leaders in Law and was recently rated as the Top Ranked Lawyer in 2024 by Chambers & Partners Global.

Robyn Acar
Director

Robyn completed her Bachelor of Arts and LLB (cum laude) at the University of the Witwatersrand and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2016.
Robyn has vast experience and is well versed in the area of commercial law including commercial and corporate litigation and drafting.  Robyn also has extensive experience in commercial contractual drafting and negotiations, arbitrations, urgent applications, family and labour law.
​Robyn joined the LDA team in July 2019 as a Senior Attorney. Robyn is involved in the management of the firm’s commercial and labour law litigation departments.
Robyn has acted as a Judge at the Labour Court of South Africa.

​Emma Booysen
Senior Associate Attorney

Emma earned her LLB degree from the University of Pretoria, following the completion of her BA Law degree (Cum Laude) at the same institution. 
Emma is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. With an experience in a range of litigation matters, Emma has worked on cases in the High Court, Labour Court and Magistrates Court.
In addition to her litigation experience, Emma has experience in chairing disciplinary hearings, various labour matters and in family law.
Emma became a part of the LDA team in June 2024.

​Kristin Ogden
Candidate Attorney

Kristin joined LDA Attorneys Inc in April 2026, has completed her articles of clerkship and is awaiting her admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Kristin has vast experience in the Labour Law and has assisted with CCMA appearances, discliplinary hearings, Labour Court matters and all things labour related.
Kristin is always willing to assist and is an eager learner.

Kiara Pillay

Kiara joined LDA Attorneys Inc in April 2026. Kiara obtained her LLB degree from the University of KwaZulu- Natal and is currently serving as a Candidate Attorney. 
Kiara is dedicated and committed to continuous learning and professional growth as she progresses towards admission as an attorney of the High Court.

Rene Kyriakou
Director

Rene is an attorney of the High Court of South Africa with 19 years experience and is registered with the Legal Council and also has right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa. Rene heads up the commercial, commercial litigation and conveyancing department of the firm.
Rene holds an LLB and a BA Psychology degree both from University of Johannesburg (previously RAU University).
Rene successfully ran her own commercial and conveyancing law firm for approximately 8 years before merging her practice and partnering with Larry to form LDA Incorporated. 
Rene has 19 years experience in various complex  commercial law matters including commercial litigation, commercial contractual drafting, negotiating various commercial transactions, urgent restraint of trade applications, arbitrations, corporate governance and conveyancing.
Rene has been selected as a 2022 Commercial Litigation Law award winner in South Africa by International Advisory Experts. Rene is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.

​​Nicole Ross
Director

Nicole established her own law firm in 2016, having amassed almost 20 years of experiences in the areas of contract, family and labour law and litigation. Nicole is a registered and highly successful mediator and is also an admitted attorney both in London and Australia and has right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa. 
Nicole is committed to justice and equality and she leaves no stone unturned in preparation to ensure that she achieves the best possible legal outcome. 
Nicole merged her already successful practice with LDA in February 2026 and brings with her, her extensive experience in civil law, commercial law and litigation.

​Kayleigh Farlam
Senior Associate Attorney

Kayleigh earned her LLB degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and has right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa.
Kayleigh has vast experience in commercial law and litigation, family law, alternative dispute resolution, damages and road accident fund claims, High Court and Magistrate Court litigation, contractual drafting and labour law. Kayleigh is committed to providing clear, practical and effective legal solutions and to assist clients in resolving disputes in an efficient and results-driven manner. 
Kayleigh has received certifications in advanced company law, the handling and administration of Trusts and Pension Fund law. 
Kayleigh became a part of the LDA team in April 2026.

Amo Phala
Candidate Attorney

Amo joined LDA Attorneys Inc in 2025 and already had experience in labour law having worked for a union. 
Amo is passionate about labour law, corporate law, merges and acquisitions. 
Amo is a fast learner and a team player who thrives in dynamic environments. Amo welcomes complex matters that require strategic thinking.

Caitlin Tomada
Office Assistant

Caitlin joined LDA Attorneys Inc in October 2022 and is our office assistant. Cailtin is actively involved with assisting all the attorneys in the office and is a support to Tumi.

Caitlin goes the extra mile to assist and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Caitlin is a fast learner who is eager to please.

Nicole Musiker
Director

Nicole holds a Bcom (Law) and LLB degree and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Nicole has been appointed as an acting Judge of the Labour Court, is a member of the South African Society of Labour Lawyers and also sits on the Pro Bono Office at the Labour Court, Johannesburg. Nicole also has right of appearance in the High Court.
Nicole is highly specialised and experienced in labour law and has represented a variety of Corporates and unions in both the CCMA and Labour Court and Consititutional Court. Nicole has worked as a senior lecturer and has a particular interest in Dispute Resolution.
Nicole is also involved in the the firm’s civil litigation department and has successfully been involved in various matters on behalf of our corporate clients relating to High Court and Magistrate Court litigation.

​​Hanelle Vrey
Director

Hanelle specializes in employment law and has valuable experience in CCMA and Labour Court litigation. She is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and also contributes to the Labour Court's pro bono project.
Hanelle has been involved in the field of Labour Law for the past 13 years and has intimate knowledge of our labour law dispensation and often appears at the CCMA, Bargaining Councils and Labour Court.
Hanelle  has successfully represented clients across various sectors, including Banking, Telecommunications, Mining, Insurance, and Consulting and has also presented  at the 2019 Annual Shop Steward Conference on workplace conflict and the 2022 seminar on the impact of Artificial Intelligence in the legal profession.
Hanelle joined the LDA team in April 2026 and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to LDA.

Tumi Khumalo
Finance Manager /PA to Larry and Rene

Tumi has a diploma in information technology and has also successfully completed paralegal courses.
Tumi initially joined Rene in February 2016 and was appointed as the office manager together with managing the finance department.
When Rene's and Larry's practices merged, Tumi continued her role as office manager, manager of the finance department and is the right hand to both Larry and Rene. Tumi is also instrumental in  the conveyancing department

Lebogang Tlou
Candidate Attorney

Lebo obtained her LLB degree from the University of South Africa and a Diploma in labour law from the Vaal University of Technology.  Lebo joined LDA in 2025. 
Lebo has vast experience in Labour Law and has had the privilege of acting as a Judge's secretary and Registrars Clerk in the Labour Court of South Africa.
Lebo is passionate about labour law, commercial law and litigation.
